  • 2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 pound ground beef
  • 2 cup ketchup
  • 1 ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon liquid smoke

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Add the oats, evaporated milk, 1 cup of chopped onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the ground beef. Mix well
  3. Form the meatballs from the mixed ground beef and place them on pans with parchment paper
  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes. When finished, remove and drain any excess liquid or fat. You can freeze extras for later use once cooled.
  5. Bring the ketchup, brown sugar, another cup of chopped onions, and the liquid smoke to a boil.
  6. Add the meatballs and the sauce to a slow cooker and let it cook for at least 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Once finished, turn the slow cooker to warm and serve.
